Behavior Rescue has grown from a variety of experiences with families and others working with individuals with special needs. A few experiences are noted below.
Kelly has been working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorders since 2003, with experiences ranging from community settings, camps, recreational activities, school environments, and the home setting. Kelly holds a teaching license in Special Education and Early Childhood Education, as well as BCBA and PATH International credentials.
Trained in School-Wide Positive Behavior Supports through a federal training grant from 2007-2008, Kelly has worked with individual schools and districts to develop three-tiered models of support including addressing academic, social, and behavioral needs including data monitoring and treatment integrity follow-up.
As a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Kelly has experience supporting families with IEP document reviews, implementation and design of ABA programs, and working as a Behavior Specialist Consultant through BHRS (“Wrap Around” providers and independently, across multiple states.
Kelly has worked as a Registered-Level PATH International Instructor (formerly NARHA) since 2006 and has been involved with therapeutic horseback riding and horse interaction programs since 2003. This provides a unique perspective on access to recreational activities for individuals with behavioral challenges or other special needs.
